Steam and Condensate System Design
Thanks to its numerous team of engineers and technicians, and their experience in piping design, SAM Progetti can provide within a short time both basic and detailed engineering. This includes all prefabrication drawings, isometric views and sketches, minimizing errors and waste during assembly and installation.
In particolare, offriamo:
- Basic Engineering: Complete P&ID, control instrumentation loop, valve and pipe list with steam flows and speeds, temperature curves, and full machine simulation in three conditions: maximum production, minimum production, and typical production.
- Detailed Engineering: Full 3D design with interference control, insulation space requirements, and support construction details. We also provide all construction drawings in ISOGEN format, complete with MTO (Material Take-Off) and prefabrication instructions.
- We also provide construction details for the installation of process instrumentation, including air and process connections. We also provide all construction drawings in ISOGEN format, complete with MTO.
- Ex Novo Engineering: Complete study and analysis of steam and condensate systems without technical documentation, using high-resolution 3D scans. We produce full construction drawings, P&ID, and isometric 3D designs, with a complete thermodynamic analysis of pipes and equipment.
Our analytical approach to sizing and design allows us to quickly create an accurate simulation of the current state of the steam and condensate system using the U-FACTOR approach, identifying critical issues and areas for improvement.
Each customer receives a detailed 3D drawing of the steam and condensate system in NAVISWORK, viewable on a computer or tablet. This allows the project to be viewable at any time and from any location, with the ability to measure relative distances between components and check the nomenclature of pipes and equipment. All drawings and documentation are directly updated in the3D project As Built.
Aerothermal System Design
Thanks to its numerous team of engineers and technicians, and their experience in aerothermic systems design, SAM Progetti can provide within a short time complete engineering for recovery systems, ventilation systems and silencers, and air filtration systems, all with static load calculations, seismic analysis, and precise calculations of pressure losses.
Hood Design
Thanks to its numerous team of engineers and technicians, and their experience in hood design, SAM Progetti can provide within a short time complete engineering for insulated closed hoods for multi-cylinder continuous machines. This includes the extraction ducts, the blowing ducts for PV Boxes and Web Stabilizers, all provided with static load calculations, seismic analysis, and precise calculations of pressure losses.
Our hoods are specifically designed to manage high moisture content (65°C Dew Point) without dripping issues.

- panels with sheet metal AISI 304 thickness 0,6 mm with dedicated superficial coating
- Anti-condensation panels with ventilation and heating gap
- Suction ceiling in AISI 304 steel
